Mexicano Corn Chips
In an exciting collaboration with our peers at TBD Design, we embarked on the production of a unique video project. This project highlighted the partnership between Mexicano Corn Chips and the Hurricanes rugby team, arising from their sponsorship agreement. Equipped with well-coordinated run sheets and a thoughtful script, we eagerly set out on our filming journey.
Concept and Execution:
Our task was set with specific parameters. The Hurricanes' players could only be contracted for a two-hour shoot, and a minimum of three players had to feature in all videos. These prerequisites posed challenges not just in filming within the prescribed timeframe, but also in efficiently briefing and directing the talent. Our own Dupes, a social media influencer with cooking expertise, took the reins for the recipe video. Using pre-rigged and pre-set locations to maximize the speed of the shoot, we successfully filmed with the Hurricanes within the stipulated time. This efficient execution left us with additional time to capture supplementary B-roll footage, where the players weren't required in the shots.
Teamwork and Dedication:
Throughout the process, our team exhibited incredible adaptability and dedication, navigating the challenges of time constraints and the need for precision in direction. Their effort ensured that we not only met the brief but surpassed expectations in producing quality content within the given parameters.
Lessons and Future Directions:
The experience of filming the "Mexicano Corn Chips and Hurricanes" project reinforced our understanding of the importance of strategic planning and team collaboration in overcoming project constraints. It also highlighted the value of adaptability in our work. Following this project, we produced multiple versions of the video, tailored for distribution across various platforms - from a long-form recipe presentation to a vertical video format. This project has further strengthened our commitment to innovation and flexibility in all our future endeavors.

Lowe & Co
"The Silent Night" was an innovative fundraising event designed by XYZ Special Group for The Wellington City Mission. Lowe & Co. contributed to this unique initiative by donating all billboards to raise awareness and encourage donations to the charitable event. The concept was ingenious; an event that no one physically attends, with 100% of the ticket price directly benefitting The Wellington City Mission. Our role was to effectively communicate this concept to the public.
Concept and Execution:
To bring this idea to life, we reached out to key individuals involved in the project. Murray Eldridge from The Mission, and Shane Harmon, the CEO of Sky Stadium, offered their insights. We filmed these individuals, asking them simple yet poignant questions, their answers being delivered directly to the camera for a personal and engaging audience connection.Subsequently, we filmed an eerily empty Sky Stadium, adding small animations to help visually convey the concept: an event where the lack of physical attendance was a powerful sign of support and contribution.
Teamwork and Dedication:
Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our team, we created a compelling video that clearly and effectively communicated the unique concept of "The Silent Night". Our team's ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and adapt to a unique project concept was integral to the success of this campaign.
Impact and Future Directions:
"The Silent Night" video reached a large audience, raising significant awareness and funds to support those in need during the Christmas period. This experience has reinforced our commitment to creativity, collaboration, and social responsibility. It has also underscored the potential for unique approaches in fundraising initiatives, a lesson we will carry forward in our future endeavors.

Rhys Rich
"Rain" is a compelling music video that we crafted for Rhys Rich, a well-known artist from New Zealand. The instant the strains of "Rain" hit our ears, Spyro, our creative lead, had a vivid idea of what the video's aesthetic should be.
Concept and Execution:
Harnessing a range of technical strategies and quintessentially Kiwi innovation, we set out to create a video that was one continuous shot, captured from multiple moving vehicles. We believed this approach would serve as the ideal visual complement to the song, which boasts a gospel-like grandeur that demanded an equally powerful visual interpretation.
Teamwork and Dedication:
Our determined and patient team was instrumental in making this vision a reality. Over the course of 13 comprehensive test runs, they refined and polished the concept until it was ready for the final production. The finished product, which you can view below, stands as testament to our belief that achieving an artistic vision is a testament to teamwork.
Lessons and Future Directions:
"Rain" offered Spyro and the entire team invaluable insights into the power of collaboration in bringing a creative idea to life. It reinforced our commitment to striving for creativity, perseverance, and unity in all our future endeavors. This experience has fueled our desire to continue embodying these values in our work.

BODE
Introduction:We had the privilege to work on an "About Us" video for Bode, an innovative housing company offering modular homes that can be assembled within days, not months. Our mission was to capture the essence of Bode's ambition: to address the housing crisis and build a better future for all New Zealanders.
Concept and Execution:
We began our process by conducting in-depth interviews with key figures at Bode, including the head of the business and the leading engineer. These conversations provided insights into Bode's mission, its commitment to ensuring everyone has a right to a home, and its creative solution to the ongoing housing problem.Taking these rich narratives, we wove a cohesive and compelling story about Bode. The video not only elucidates what the company does but also gives a glimpse into its future endeavors, including a range of other dwellings they plan to offer.
Teamwork and Dedication:
The creation of the "About Us" video for Bode was a testament to our team's dedication, creativity, and ability to distill complex ideas into a compelling narrative. Each team member played a vital role in this project, contributing their skills and expertise to bring the story of Bode to life.
Lessons and Future Directions:
Working with Bode has strengthened our commitment to creating meaningful content that not only tells a story but also educates and inspires. The experience has underscored the importance of communication in understanding a company's mission and translating it into a captivating visual narrative. This understanding will continue to shape our approach to storytelling in future projects.

The Wellington Company
We were delighted when Egmont Dixon approached us to create a visual representation for the Aro development being established by the Wellington Company. The critical question driving our creative process was: What makes Wellington uniquely Wellington?
Concept and Execution:
To answer this question, we embarked on a filming journey across the region. Our aim was to capture activities that reflected the lifestyle near the Victoria Street development and the myriad of opportunities an urban center can provide to its residents. This could range from shopping, dining, and bar hopping to cycling across Mount Victoria, with Wellington's distinctive cityscape as the backdrop. The project necessitated extensive pre-production work to secure the rights to film in certain environments. It also involved the casting of extras to serve as the dynamic characters moving through various locations. The intent was to enable viewers to identify with them, and in doing so, embody the distinctive Wellington lifestyle.
Teamwork and Dedication:
The success of this project is testament to the exceptional dedication and hard work of our team. From the pre-production phase to execution, every team member contributed their expertise, ensuring that we not only met the project's requirements, but also encapsulated the essence of Wellington living in our visuals.
Lessons and Future Directions:
Creating the visual representation for the Aro development was a project that reaffirmed our commitment to meticulous planning, creativity, and collaboration. It was an enriching experience that reminded us of the power of visual storytelling in capturing the spirit of a place. This learning will undoubtedly inform our approach to similar projects in the future.
